Nittir Qibbeh / Tesmi

Nittir Qibbeh is a vital component of Ethiopia's cuisine and produced from clarified butter, which has been infused with herbs and spices. The butterfat has been separated from the solids of milk and water to create a very aromatic and delicious cooking fat when it is clarified into spice butter, which uses the same process as making ghee. The smoke point and the shelf life of this clear butter are greater than that of ordinary butter!
